Abby showing off her new Flying Squirrels hat
Carson with his hat. We went to a game as a family, but it got rained out after the second inning and we didn't take any pictures. Go figure.
Carson had his last t-ball game. He made some good plays and even got someone out. So proud of him!
The team mom offered to host an end of season swim party at her house. It was a big hit with the boys!
Carson loves having a new trophy to put in his room.
Would you believe how tall Carson's stalk of corn got?! It even has an ear of corn on it.
What do you do when your power goes out for 23 hours? Dig out all the puzzles you own and let the kids have puzzle contests!
Always into mischief.
Her hair is constantly in her face, but she doesn't seem to care.
What do you eat when you have no power, and the grocery stores and restaurants also have no power? Kool ade, strawberries, cherries and cupcakes (basically all Andrew was able to buy at the one store that was open). We also ate mac n cheese (not pictured).
Andrew's answer to toasting a pop tart without a toaster. Thank goodness for a gas range!
The East Coast was hit with a MASSIVE heat wave for the past few weeks. On one of these days was our ward Daddy Daughter camp out. Andrew didn't want to camp, but decided to take Abby for the festivities, then come home to sleep. Here she is with her face paint that she got at the Children's Museum earlier that day.
The girls were running through sprinklers at the camp out. Andrew and Abby made it home right before another GIANT storm hit the area. 10 minutes after I finished giving her a bath, the power went out AGAIN. Twice in the space of 3 days.
Our incredibly awesome neighbors across the street offered to share their generator with us so we could plug in our fridge. So we strung extension cords across the street and Andrew duck taped them down. I took the kids that night to a hotel and Andrew stuck it out at home. The power came on later that night, but it was still mighty hot for a while. Plus we got hit with ANOTHER giant storm. Luckily, the power stuck it through that time.
And that was our June. At least what I documented. :-)
