Thanksgiving

I had to get this post on here before Christmas. This is a long post. You've been warned.
For Thanksgiving, we flew out to Phoenix to be with Andrew's family. There was also a family reunion that weekend, so we were surrounded by cousins galore! The group was so big that we had our Thanksgiving dinner at Village Inn. Surprisingly good, btw.
The day after Thanksgiving started the Price Family Reunion. This was my first time attending and...holy cow. I have never seen anything like it. A 3-day extravaganza full of workshops, a talent show, picnic, and what wasn't supposed to be a 3-hour long testimony meeting but really was a 3-hour long testimony meeting. and more. They even have a Price Family song. Since we had our kiddos we only attended a few of the events. We made it for the last half of the talent show. They had all the primary age kids go up and sing "My Eternal Family." It was very cute!

We also went to the Phoenix Zoo. That was on Carson's priority list. I didn't get a picture of them, but Carson and Andrew got the chance to go feed the giraffes. They had a platform you stood on and the giraffes walked right up to you and you got to feed them lettuce leaves.
At the zoo they have a kids play area that is a giant version of the Little People's farm. Carson and Abby both loved this part of the zoo. It was fun to play on toys that they have at home.

But the best part of being there was meeting a new niece and nephew and Carson and Abby getting a chance to play with lots of new cousins.
Abigail and Amelia. Abby really was having fun, she is just stingy on her smiles.

Baby Ty with Uncle Andrew

Chase, Carson and Corinne. These three were solving the mystery of the missing puzzle pieces. That kept them busy for a long time!

Gabe teaching Carson how to play Carumba...the official Baird family game. Most people call it nertz.

To end our trip, we went to visit Andrew's dad at his office. Carson had a few suggestions on how to properly run his law firm.

Careful dadda...you might have someone else wanting to be a partner someday.

It was about halfway through the second verse of Price Family Tree that I realized that this Thanksgiving would have been the perfect chance to bring a boy home and COMPLETELY freak him out. Too bad I missed the opportunity. It was so good to be with you guys all week though!

I love that Little People playground! Abby is so cute, especially with her smile stinginess . . .
