Road trip!

Andrew's parents came into town last week, so we took a roadtrip. The first day we drove through Shenandoah National Park and toured the Luray Caverns. The Luray Caverns are the largest caves in the East. Carson had a blast! They had an adult tour and a child tour. On the kids tour, you look for "mysteries," which he really got into.
This was one of my favorite parts of the cave. This isn't stallagtites and stallagmites, it's actually a pool of water and it's reflecting the ceiling of the cave in the water. When you got there, the only way you really noticed that it was water was when you saw a little drip and the water would ripple. Totally amazing!
The cave was even stroller friendly! Abby was great through the whole thing.

Friday night we stayed in a cabin the Shenandoah National Park. This is the view from our huge picture window in the sitting area. Carson and Nanna had fun looking for deer and chipmunks. Unfortunately, Carson's allergies came back with a vengeance, so for the rest of the trip, he had to wear his hat and sunglasses to keep from rubbing his eyes. But he's a trooper and with a little Benadryl and Claritin, he was a happy camper.

I look like I'm in pain in this picture! The sun was really bright and I have sensitive eyes, so it was hard for me not to squint.
