I'm a wee-bit slow on this post. I blame 2 weeks of traveling, being sick, and having Andrew go out of town for basically the whole month of January, minus a day here and there to drop off laundry and go to church.
Carson and Andrew on a boat at the Jamestowne Visitor Center. There's not much to see there as the settlement is completely gone, but the boats were cool.
The kids and I by the Williamsburg Courthouse. We had already been to Williamsburg, so we walked around the parts that we missed the first time.

Here's Carson reenacting the battle at Yorktowne. He must be one of the "red coats." :-)
Christmas Day arrived! Santa managed to work his way down the chimney and left us some great gifts in our stockings and under our makeshift tree.
Carson admiring the loot. He had a hard time waiting for everyone to wake up on Christmas morning.
I don't think this was meant for Carson.
We had a great time in Williamsburg and were so glad that we could see most of Andrew's family and especially to have them meet Abby for the first time.
Abby and "dada"
Abby and Aunt Emily
Abby with Uncle Brandon, Aunt Brittany, and baby Ty (coming soon).
For Christmas, we met up with Andrew's family in Williamsburg, Virginia. His parents have a time share there. It was really nice to not have to get on a plane this year. We toured the fabulous Historical Triangle (Williamsburg, Jamestowne and Yorktowne) in the freezing cold! Somehow we managed to stay warm.
Abby was by far, the warmest one of all. Here she is in her whole get-up.
My little marshmallow!

One morning we took Carson over to do Christmas crafts. We also had the chance to have breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Carson loved that! He couldn't wait to tell Santa that he wanted dinosaurs for Christmas.
We were very happy that Abby didn't scream when we sat her down with Santa. However, she did stare them down. One of her trademarks.
But Carson's favorite thing was to see the Fife and Drum outside the mansion. We weren't very good at the timing, so he only got to see them once, but he talked about it all week long.

And in keeping with Baird tradition, there were many Carumba games going on, as well as working on this insanely difficult puzzle.
I spent most of my time doing that. We also had a white elephant game that resulted in Andrew and I both getting a box of chocolates. Yum!
