Fun with Nanna

Last week we had Andrew's mom stay with us. Carson had a blast having Nanna here with him. She gave him her undivided attention and he ate it up! While she was here, we tried to get out and do some fun things.

We went to the National Zoo and met up with up with Aunt Myhoa.
Did you know that the National Zoo had dinosaurs? Apparently this Triceratops was in a movie called The Incredible Egg or something like that.

Carson with Tai Shan (pronounced "Tie Shawn"), our infamous baby panda.
Ready to go home after a long day of animal watching.
On Saturday we drove out to Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. Andrew's family has some ancestors buried there, so we decided to check it out before Nanna had to fly home that evening. Figures that the temp was in the high 90s and felt like 105. Perfect for outdoor sightseeing.
Carson was so excited because a train went past where we were eating lunch. He loves trains!

Carson and Uncle Dayne walking down to the rivers. Too cute!
Watching the geese
The view of old towne from where we had our picnic lunch. The steeple in the background is of the church that is up on this hill. If you go farther up the hill, there is a massive cemetery where we were looking for family graves. I stayed at the bottom by the church with Abby since it was a lot of stairs to get to the cemetery.
On the way back to the car. Andrew is pushing Abby in her stroller ahead. I had to end the trip for her early because she was so hot and sweaty I was afraid she would get too hot.

Thanks for coming out to visit Nanna! We had a blast!
