Memorial Day 2014

We started off Memorial Day by having a flag ceremony outside.  This helped pass off a Wolf requirement for Cub Scouts.

After our flag ceremony, we decided to go strawberry picking.  When we got there, the owners told us that they had a rather large group come picking over the weekend.  So berries were harder to find.  We decided to go picking anyway and did really well!

Kayla had fun running up and down the rows collecting the berries that everyone else found.

We also pick up honey whenever we are here.  So much better than what you get at the grocery store!

The kids love the playground at the farm.

We made some strawberry jam and had homemade waffles that night for dinner.  Yum! (Best waffle recipe found here: Sour Cream Waffles
Right before bedtime, Andrew decided it would be fun to have the kids go play in the sprinklers.  Such a fun dad!

Her face says it all!
