November in a flash

Since we aren't all that great at taking pictures, here's what I do have of November (in no particular order):


On our way home from Maryland after Thanksgiving, we decided to make a stop to see George Washington's Birthplace.  We had driven past it back in October and had wanted to go see it.  The kids were excellent sports about it, even though it was FREEZING and we only had jackets with us.  FYI...all that's left is an outline of the foundation (the white stuff behind the kids) as the house burned down.  The views of the river were AMAZING! 

This is another house that was built later on.  We didn't stay to do the house tour. 

Carson made a turkey out of recyclables.

Fall at our house.  This is one of our favorite trees.  It loses its leaves after most of the trees.

Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my girls be so sweet to each other! 

My mom made these adorable Christmas Advent Stockings.  Every night in December the kids get to pick out a treat from the stocking.  They hang in our hallway upstairs.   

Anytime Kayla sees them she says "Hi stockings!" 

Hopefully we are better in December!
