Easter 2012 part 1

We spent Easter this year in Maryland with my parents and sister's family.  We drove up Friday morning and after dinner, the first order of business was to dye about 3 dozen eggs.  Since Abby and Riya couldn't be trusted to stay clean, they were stripped of their shirts to be safe.

He was having fun, I promise!

We also had a little family party for Abby and grandpa's birthday.  They opened presents and we all ate ice cream cake.  Yum!  But apparently we took no pictures of that.

Saturday the kids had the first of 2 Easter egg hunts. This egg hunt was for the kids in my mom's ward. They were nice enough to invite our kids to join along.  There were over 1000 eggs spread out for the kids.  Kayla and Parker stayed home since it was a little too cold for them.
The Easter Bunny also was there.  I was so glad we didn't pay $10 for the kids to get a picture with him at the mall just the week before.  We got this one for free!

The younger kids stayed at the front and the older kids had to run down a hill to get their eggs.

It was a little cold that day and we forgot to pack our jackets.

Carson had a blast!

We scoured every inch of that yard to find any remaining eggs.

The kids made out like bandits!  Had we known that this egg hunt would yield such a large amount of eggs, we might have forgone our own egg hunt.
After the kids ate lunch, they went to a bounce house to burn off some energy.  They had an awesome Easter Eve.  Easter Sunday post coming soon!
