The District

The last day of our Christmas fun was taking a trip into town (aka DC). My parents took the girls back to our house while we went playing. Justin and Mallory hadn't been in a long time, so we had to show them all the sights. When it came to picking what museum to see...can you guess which one won?

Yep. The Natural History Museum. Carson gave a great tour of the dinosaurs. Here he is with Landon

Our next stop was lunch in the old Postoffice Building. They had a free tower tour, so everyone but myself went up. Hey, someone had to stay behind and watch my sister's Diet Coke. :-) Here's one the view shots.

They are redoing the reflecting pool, so it was completely drained. It's now a giant cement slab.

Mr. Lincoln memorial. We stayed here for a while simply because it had indoor places that were warm! The little museum attached to it isn't all that great, but it kept us warm! Also has bathrooms, which we utilized. Can anyone else spot Justin? He's wearing an orange jacket.
Braving the cold!
1600 Pennsylvania. Naturally we all wondered how far we could make it running toward the White House before we either got tackled by the Secret Service or shot by a sniper on the roof.
Andrew took this shot as he was running all the way back to the parking garage to get the car. The rest of us didn't feel like walking the whole way, so he picked us up by the WWII monument. What a nice guy!
