Carson's 3!

**This post is mainly for Andrew since he wasn't home for this.

Holy cow I have a 3-year old!! Today is Carson's birthday. We started off the day by going to the doctor. He did really well, up until he got his flu shot. He didn't like that part very much. But he was tough and got threw it. He weighs 30 pounds 4 ounces (40%), and is 37.5 inches tall (50%). And if you are curious, his BMI is 20%, which means he is a slender little guy.

After lunch he took his birthday nap. Yes I am proud to announce that my now 3-year old still takes a nap everyday. I am holding onto those naps for as long as he will give them to me.

Once the nap was over, he proceeded to watch his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD with his t-rex and stegosaurus to keep him company. Since we weren't going out the rest of the day, I let Carson watch the show of his choice. If he had his way, he would watch Sesame Street and Mickey all day long.

A quick dinner of mac & cheese with strawberry milk (his current fav) and then it was off to the tub for a bath.

Since we aren't having Carson's official birthday party until Saturday, we thought it would be fun if he opened one present on his actual birthday. Bedtime started creeping closer and closer, so I let Carson open his one present before Andrew was able to make it home. I didn't think it was very nice to have him open a present and then rush him to bed without being able to play with it. Andrew made it home in time for a quick game of Memory (they tied), then it was time for bed. After going outside to say goodnight to the moon and stars (ever since we went to the outerbanks in September, he has to see the moon every night before he goes to bed) he hit the sack. He went down without a fight. Poor guy was tuckered out. He's excited for his party on Saturday. It's going to be a Mickey Mouse themed event. Happy Birthday Carson!!!
